WOOD VERSUS CONLAN: PRESS CONFERENCE VIDEO INTERVIEWS

Nottingham's own Leigh Wood will defend his WBA World Featherweight Title against unbeaten Irish sensation Mick Conlan in his hometown on March 12th, and the first leg of the press tour was in the city's Albert Hall earlier today.

Wood brought a trumpeter with him, playing a Nottingham Forrest favourite The Mist Rolling in from the Trent, as he entered and it was straight down to business from both fighters. Ben Davison, Wood's trainer was talking up the home advantage and what it means to Leigh, "It's always been a dream for him to have a world title fight in Nottingham."

Wood said, "10 years old I wanted to do this. I won't let it slip... I'm extremely focused, I was here when Carl Froch did it".

Jamie Conlan, Mick's brother and trainer, adamant there was no pressure on his sibling made it clear the Conlans were born for this type of event, "boxing is our sport, boxing is our passion.". Mick was less erudite making the same point, "I'm ready to take on anyone, I don't give a fuck."

As it heated up and became tense, promoter Eddie Hearn disarmed the situation in typical Eddie fashion, joking "hey don't get me involved!".
