HEAVYWEIGHT PROSPECTS SET FOR EXPLOSIVE SHOWDOWN IN NEATH
Jolly, who boasts a perfect record of 11 wins from 11 fights, has rapidly established himself as one of the most promising heavyweights in the UK and has recently returned from a 5 week stint in Holland where he sparred a number of world rated heavyweights. Known for his strength, punch power, composure, and growing fanbase in Wales and beyond, he now faces his toughest test to date on home soil.
Mickey Helliet, who manages Jolly, is effusive in his praise for the up and coming fighter, "He can punch, he can move, he's a very strong guy and has phenomenal punch variety. He adapts very quickly and there's so many good things that he's improved and polished over the last few years."
Standing across the ring will be former Team GB Boxing representative, Howe, a dangerous and determined contender who won a medal in the European Amateur Boxing Junior Championships. Hailing from the north-east of England, Howe has built a reputation for resilience and punch power, making this clash a very evenly matched one between two hungry fighters eager to break into the upper echelon of the heavyweight division with a prestigious title on the line.
With both men looking to secure the Commonwealth International Heavyweight title, the stakes are very high. The bout promises fireworks, with neither fighter willing to take a backward step. Helliet has plotted a route up the rankings for his man, and this is the next step on the ladder of the sport's marquee division.
Promoter of Black Flash Promotions and former British and European Lightweight Champion Pat Barrett described the matchup as “one of the most exciting domestic heavyweight clashes of the year,” highlighting the significance of two young, ambitious fighters putting their unbeaten and near-unbeaten records on the line. Jolly has proved to be a big favourite with the Swansea crowds and Howe has earned a reputation as a come forward fighter in his career to date.
The event at Neath Sports Centre is expected to draw a passionate crowd, with local support firmly behind Jolly, while Howe aims to silence the Welsh fans and claim the biggest victory of his career.
Tickets are priced £50 standard and £80 ringside and are expected to sell quickly for what promises to be an unforgettable night of boxing.
